To say I adore weddings is an understatement. To say I adore COLOURFUL weddings would be an even bigger understatement ♥ I had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie during our floral consultation on Saturday, February 10th earlier this year. She had eagerly inquired many months before her wedding day, and after reading through her inquiry form and drooling at all of the details she had already planned, I knew I HAD to design her wedding florals. My colourful loving heart wouldn't let me say no! She literally had the dream team already booked: planner, venue, photographers, etc. When we got together to start planning her flowers, Stephanie brought her MOH, her satin, multicoloured bridesmaid dress swatches, and the coordinating Yummi candles. Steph knew *exactly* what she wanted - the garden, floral meadow of her dreams. "We are getting married lakefront at Pasqua Lake," she told me, "I want the floral meadow to add another layer to the beautiful view. I know exactly where I want to be standing - the trees slightly overhang a bit, with the water in the background. I want the floral meadow to be bold, bright, and colourful." I immediately got to work on the floral palette, and let me tell you, it was brutal trying to narrow it down to the blooms we used, because everything looked incredible together! During our floral consult, Steph specifically asked for soft blue Delphinium, so I made sure it was a focal point in everything; her bridal bouquet, the bridesmaids and meadow. I also used: Gladiolas, Marigolds, Matricaria, Ranunculus, Tulips and Tweedia. I wanted to make sure each bridesmaid dress colour was used throughout all of the florals.
