My goal through Payton’s Place Designs is to make your renovation experience as fun, relaxed and organized as it can be. As we work together, we will transform your space into an area of your home that is joyful, functional and infused with your lifestyle.
How does the Renovation & Design Process work?
A home renovation project can feel overwhelming: where do you start, who does the work, where do we buy things?
That’s where I come in - A beautiful renovation is the result of good planning and lots of research:

Apply through the inquiry page. Even if you’re not totally sure what you want/ need yet, let’s start the conversation!

I’ll look over your application and we’ll schedule a face-to-face initial consultation to talk about your specific project. Don’t clean your house! As a designer, I want to see how you live! If you have clutter everywhere - great, that means you need more storage solutions. If you clean everything, how can I help you fix al the “problem areas”?

After we chat, I’ll provide you with a detailed project scope outline and quote. My renovation design packages are thorough, organized, and complete with all of the details require to provide you with estimates and pricing. This design package becomes the “Instruction Book” on how to make your renovation come to life as quick, cost effective and smooth as possible for everyone involved.
Once you are happy with the scope of work I will measure the areas of your house that we are wanting to renovate. I will document everything about your house as it currently is - this way I can develop new floor plans and a 3D model of your house that is accurate. This will also allow us to draft an accurate Demolition plan for your contractor to know if walls are existing, new to be built or to be removed, window locations, currently electrical, etc.
This is where the fun begins - We will draft your dream floor plan together! Once the “As-Built Drawings” (how your home is currently built in real life) you and I will work through different variations of your floor plan. We can edit to move rooms, windows and walls around, add different material finishes into the 3D, and more! With each edit, you will get updated 3D renderings to help you visualize what the renovated room will look like!
After we have fine tuned your renovation floor plan, we can roll it into a set of Construction Drawings for contractors and trades to provide detailed and accurate quotes for the work that needs to be done, how much material you need and what fixtures should be installed where.

Interior Design can be for everyone! Whether you would classify yourself as an advanced DIY-er and avid HGTV watcher, or if you couldn’t hammer a nail to save your life - I’m here for you!
I believe in supporting those that have the ability to create for themselves. I would love to give you that boost of confidence or a nudge in the right direction if you want extra help in your project or event.
Interior Design
I do not offer discounted Interior Design “Packages” as each and every project’s scope is different based on that family’s or individual’s needs. One person’s kitchen might be incredibly large, yet simple - The next kitchen might be very small but amazingly detailed! I offer complimentary interior design consultations to learn about you, your budget, and what you want to do for your renovation. We’ll get together at the house, talk about all your ideas, hopes, & dreams, what you’re loving/ hating about the current spaces, and then apply a fresh perspective. After our free consult, I will put together a detailed and broken down quote based on you and your project needs.

After accepting your customized Interior Design Package that is specifically catered to your project needs, I’ll get cracking on a new design for your home based on the things we talked about together during our complimentary consult!

What if I don’t live in Regina, Saskatchewan?
No worries at all - I have worked on several out of town projects including: White City, Moose Jaw, Esterhazy, and more! As long as your project timeline is flexible to allow for travel for me to come to your home a few times throughout the project, we will be able to work together just fine. I still recommend us selecting material + fixture selections together in Regina, SK simply because I have access to many showrooms here allowing you to see more prior to confirming your selections. However, you are not obligated to order from Regina, SK suppliers - You are welcome to pull quotes from any local suppliers near you!
What if I don’t know what style I want or like?
Don’t worry - you’re not alone and that’s what I’m here for! You and I will get together and talk about your wish list and inspiration. Based on our conversation, I will develop a design palette for your renovation and we can fine tune the details together.
Where do I order the materials and fixtures from?
Great question - I always say that YOU are the driver of the Reno Bus. As your interior designer, I will take you to showrooms and introduce you to trades and suppliers that I have built relationships with. We can look at materials and fixtures in local showrooms and get quotes from each supplier to compare pricing, but at the end of the day, YOU decide where you want to order from. Whether that be through my contacts or using your own!
