Lakeview Condo Renovations: Complete Gut & Remodeling

Janette + Jerry are two beautiful souls that I called family by the end of their renovation project. Originally living in a flawless character home in the Cresents area of Regina, Saskatchewan they were looking to downsize into a nearby, detached condo. The condo was purchased from the sweetest, little old lady who had kept the place in mint condition - nothing had been updated, including the dishwasher… Saggy, dusty curtains, old floral print wallpaper, Victorian styled furniture; everything.

“I know this is going to be a big change for us, but we are excited for NEW.” Janette told me in our first meeting at their character home. “We’ve gotten to enjoy this style of a home for many years and raise our kids here. But now we are really looking forward to an updated home - without the “charm” (issues *cough, cough*) of an older house. Together Janette, Jerry, and I designed their dream home complete with a massive kitchen island forthe family to gather, two new fireplaces, a large sewing space for Janette and a separate TV room for Jerry to watch his own shows in peace ;)

At the very end, when all had been completed and this wonderful couple moved into their new home, Jerry and Janette hosted all of the trade team members to a come & go thank you. It was an incredibly rare and fun event to celebrate with them on the completion of their project. I say “rare” because it is incredibly uncommon for a family to do this ♥ Renovation fatigue is most definitely a thing, but even still, these two were dying to thank and show off their new home and make memories together!
