The Hillsdale Custom Kitchen Renovation
The fun thing about this bright, beautiful new kitchen is that I never got to see it prior to being demolished and ripped out of the existing house! The Hillsdale subdivision was started in the mid 1950βs and has long been a desirable area to live in within the city of Regina. The new homeownerβs of this beauty, wanted the kitchen transformed shortly after moving in. In a βperfect scenarioβ homeowners reach out for a design, together we define what their needs are and what needs to change in the space to have better function, storage, traffic flow, etc. Once we have a new floor plan, we hire the contractors and trades and get to work to make magic happen! Not every renovation is a βperfect scenarioβ - thank goodness, because it rarely happens this way, for the Hillsdale Kitchen though, it was gutted before coming up with a concrete plan. The homeowners knew there was nothing they wanted to salvage in the original kitchen, so working with a clean slate seemed obvious. However, there is something intimidating about working without a plan - at least for myself, Iβm a planner and always want to know whatβs happening next, and after that!

There were several things we knew we wanted to keep:
The beautiful vaulted ceiling
The large windows and stunning showcase of natural light
The magnificent, original built-in credenza *heart eyes*
